Examinations
The Final Examination will be held at the end of each semester which comprise of 60% of the total marks. This said examination will be conducted by the University of Karachi in the premises of the University.
The remaining 40% marks will be awarded by the Karachi Institute of Management and Sciences and will be distributed according to the following schedule

Internal Examination:
There will be two comprehensive exams and one terminal exam which will be conducted by KIMS. The dates of the said examinations will be announced in the academic calendar which is prepared in the beginning of each semester. The structure of the two exams will be as follows

Assignment / Quizzes/ Projects:
The subject teacher will give assignments and quizzes during the course of study. It is recommended that at least 3 assignments and 3 quizzes should be given in each semester for each course. At least one project for each subject must be given and students should be graded before the terminal exams
General Rules Regarding Examination:
It is necessary to appear in all examinations which are held by the institute. The absence in examination is only allowed in the following cases:
1. If he is sick then his sick-leave application must be accompanied by medical certificate.
2. If a blood relative (e.g. parents, child, sibling or wife) dies.
If a student fails in more than two subjects in the examination conducted by the University of Karachi, then his scholarship / stipend will be withdrawn till he passes those exams.
GRADING POLICY
A numeric and alphabetical grade will be given in each subject. The grade will be according to the following schedule:

CGPR Calculation
The Cumulative Grade Point will be calculated by the following formula
CGPR= (Total Grade Points in all the courses) x (Total number of Credit Hours*)
CGPA= (Total Grade Points in all the courses) / Total Number of Courses
Credit Hours: The credit hour for each course in the BBA and
